|2013 Dry Rosé **NEW RELEASE**
The 2013 is a blend of 81% Chardonnay, 14% Pinot Blanc, and 5% Merlot using the saignee method (bleeding the juice). This wine shows aromas of ripe fresh strawberries and dry field grass with a hint of caramelized brown sugar. The balance of acidity is so integrated it jumps up and tickles your noise. There are flavors of ripe strawberries, and hints of bing cherry.
|2013 CB (White Blend) **NEW RELEASE**
The new CB is a blend of 78% Chardonnay, 8% Sauvignon Blanc and 14% Pinot Blanc. Both on the aromatics and the palate, the Chardonnay creates a signature of creamy caramel with hint of honeysuckle, while the Sauvignon Blanc adds hints of grapefruit and green apple. The Pinot Blanc shows developing signatures of dry field grass. The CB exhibits a beautifully round mouthfeel. The flavors are well integrated on the palate with an intense fruit forward direction mid-palate full of passion fruit with a tart and vibrant acidity on the finish. This is our first wine made with 2% residual sugar but the acidity helps to support the finish and creates a round mouth feel. Limited production of just 69 cases.

The wine was aged 18 months in New French Oak. The nose shows layers of black currant, cherry, slight hint of hay and mossy earthy notes. The palate comes alive with lush, chewy, firm tannins and a bright mouth-watering acidity mid-palate. Flavors of plum, hints of blueberry, a touch of cocoa, tobacco and smoke unfold with every sip. The wine displays a very dark center when looking through the glass with nice complex legs. The grapes were harvested from a small private 7 acre farm in Southold. The vines are planted North/South harnessing all available sunlight for ripening/sugar development and tannin structure. The sandy loam soil retains any moisture received, making it available for the roots of the vines during the driest summer months optimizing overall grape development.
